Auditions for Fab Nobs Theatre's next production, David Williamson's The Club, will be held on 16 and 17 of May at the New Fab Factory in Bayswater.
Audition requirements: Please prepare a short monologue from an Australian work

The Club will run from the 31 July to 15 August at The New Fab Factory.
In case you are not aware, Fab Nobs have a new home. The NEW Fab Factory is about 5 minutes drive from our old home heading towards central Bayswater. The Industry Place complex, off Malvern Road, where we are located has ample off street parking, there won't be the need to leave your car on the street and walk.

The play takes place over a two-hour meeting in a Football Committee room with more twists and turns than a Gary Ablett centre clearance. The meeting starts with the Coach’s head on the chopping block. This quickly changes to the Presidents head, then the Captain and the star recruit.
In the end the only thing to come through unscathed is the love of the game and the passion for ‘The Club’
GERRY – Administrator – Mid 30’s – 40’s. Neat, cool, calm. He’s the one that pulls the strings. He makes the bullets for the others to shoot.
TED - President – Late 30’s – 40’s. Blustering wheeler and dealer. Owns a meat pie factory and thinks he is a football expert although he has never pulled on a pair of boots. Despised by the other club members.
LAURIE - Coach – Late 40’s. Former club champion in the good years but now finds himself coach of a team that’s on the slide. A good man but he does carry a chip on his shoulder.
JOCK – Former Champion player and Coach - 60’s. Big, blustering, boozy buffoon who believes that there is only one way to do things, his way!
DANNY – Captain – Late 20’s – early 30’s. A Champion player coming to the end of his career. A bit of a hot head but has stuck by the Club through the bad years.
GEOFF – Player – Mid 20’s. Flashy, arrogant, highly paid new recruit. Couldn’t care less about the Club or any of the men that run it. Enjoys smoking the occasional joint both on and off the field
