BO PEEP has lost her sheep BAA BAA, but this time she hasn’t come home again! Whatever could have happened to her? Luckily a host of nursery rhyme characters led by MARY CONTRARY are on hand to explain to Bo that being in a pantomime (Pantomime!) is the best way to ensure a happy ending to the story.

Rehearsals will be held on Monday and Wednesday evenings and Sunday afternoons from October 28th – December 20th 2020 and then resuming January 3rd 2021. Rehearsals will be scheduled and structured in adherence to Covid Safe guidelines. Not all cast members will be required at every rehearsal but need to be available during the above mentioned rehearsal sessions if they are called to attend. When we are permitted to rehearse ‘in person’, rehearsals will take place at the Fab Factory, 33 Industry Place, Bayswater.
Auditions are open to teenagers and adults aged 13+ at the time of the production.

Once you have registered you will receive a link to our google audition form. Any unavailability during the rehearsal period must be included on the form.
Auditions will be via video submission only. A google drive link or private youtube link to your video must be submitted by 18th October. Email your completed audition form and Performance CV to Sara at email@example.com Call Backs will be held on the evening of Monday 26th October if required.
Song and Scenes must be prepared in one video submission. Please give a brief introduction of yourself and your song at the beginning of the video.
Prepare and present one Musical Theatre or Disney song for memory (no longer than 3 mins). You are encouraged to perform this song ‘in character’. Please use a backing track or piano accompaniment. No a cappella auditions.
There will be no dance audition. Movement and ‘action songs’ required within the show.
Prepare and present for memory (preferred but not required) two provided script excerpts from the show.
We at Fab Nobs welcome and encourage performers of all ethnicities, gender identities, ages and body types to audition.
**Vocal range for all characters – Bb4- Eb5 (female), or Bb3-Eb4 (male)
**All members of the cast need to be confident singers and actors. They will be required to sing all full cast songs, on or off stage.
Mary Contrary (Oh yes she is! Oh no she isn’t!) – Lead Role, some solo singing
Enthusiastic and confident young lady who is more than happy to put on her detective cap and lend a helping hand to the characters she comes across to solve the nursery rhyme mystery!
Bo Peep (Who’s lost her sheep) – Lead Role, Some solo singing
A sweet and kind girl who is determined to find her precious Baa Baa.
Mother Hubbard (The Dame) – Supporting Role, some solo singing.
A lovely old lady with a great sense of humour. Ideally played by a male identifying actor in drag. Stage Age 40+
Old MacDonald (Who has a farm)- Small supporting Role, No solo singing.
Mischievous old farmer in need of some friends who causes trouble but is great at hiding it. Stage Age 40+.
Jack (Who went up the hill) – Supporting Role, some duet singing
Playful and clumsy boy who sticks by his sister. Looks similar to Jill.
Jill (Who tumbled down again) – Supporting Role, some duet singing
Playful and clumsy girl who sticks by her brother. Looks similar to Jack.
Polly (Who put the kettle on) – Supporting Role, some duet singing
Loves to argue as much as she loves a cup of tea.
Sukey (Who took it off again) -Supporting Role, some duet singing
Loves to argue as much as she loves a cup of tea.
Ms. Muffet (The Spider-Hunter) – Supporting Role, some solo singing
Tough and no-nonsense spider-catcher who is not to be messed with.
Tom (The Piper’s Son) – Supporting Role, some solo singing
A trouble maker with a strong relationship with his father.
Peter Piper (Tom’s dad) – Supporting Role, required to ‘rap’
A friendly, flighty fellow who gets tangled in tongue twisters and has a strong bond with his son. Stage Age 40+.
Baa Baa (Bo-Peep’s sheep) – Cameo role
Wonderful at hiding and playing peekaboo with the characters and audience alike!
• All cast members aged 18+will be required to have or acquire a current Working With Children’s Check.
• If accepted into the cast, memberships and show fees total $70, payable within the first month of rehearsals.
• Cast will also be expected to provide or purchase minimal costume items including but not limited to shoes, stockings, and basic stage makeup.
• This is an unpaid opportunity.
